1st Haircut

We took Cooper to get his first haircut the other day. It was really hard to cut those gorgeous curls, but it was time. He hated it from the minute we put him in the "golf cart". Even the bubbles that they were blowing for him (which he usually loves) were not cutting it. That poor stylist...I am sure they are used to the scene he made, but still. Towards the end he did calm down...only after he figured out that the golf cart had a steering wheel! The pictures tell you more about the event than I can!

I don't know about not fussing and screaming too much...but all I can say about the picture on his certificate is that it is so Cooper!

Taking advantage...

of all of the new spaces and places. We are getting our new counter tops installed today...maybe (the installers were supposed to be here at 12:00...it is now 1:30) anyway, so we had to take the transition counter tops off and empty out all of the cabinets (you know the ones that I just filled back up a mere 2 weeks ago!) So I was sitting in the living room reading and heard Cooper messing with the cabinets. I didn't think too much about it because there was absolutely nothing that he could do to them or they could do to him (so I thought) but I looked up anyway just to check. What I saw....

After all of my fears of him being a climber (you may remember this little incident) he ended up not being too into it thank goodness. However, he obviously likes to throw me a curve ball every once-in-awhile! At least someone is having fun during our 3-months of renovations...ugh!

Zoo Fun

Uncle Brett really wanted to take the boys to the zoo before he made his big move to Florida (we miss you Uncle Brett!) so Monday we did just that. Jim, Sara, Kourtney and even Great-Grandma Gillam who came down to spend a few days went with us! The St. Louis Zoo is amazing and is really worth the trip if you are looking for some cheap, scratch that, free entertainment!

Connor excited about his favorite exhibit...the Penguin House!

Cooper got to ride the carousel for the first time and was pretty much on edge during the entire ride until it stopped and then he cried because he didn't want to get down!

Connor loved the penguin house and laughed hysterically every time the penguins would splash him!

Brad met us for dinner on The Hill afterwards and Connor was so exhausted that he fell asleep at the dinner table and slept through dinner! What a fun day!
