Hi, my name is Cooper. I enjoy long walks in the park...in my stroller, sipping milk...from a bottle and fine dining...in my high chair. In my spare time I like to play with my books, rattles, and play peek-a-boo. Most of all I like to have a good time and LOVE attention-especially when it comes from my Mommy, Daddy, or Big Brother.
We recently had Cooper's 4-month pictures taken and this was one of them. We thought it was quite hilarious and Brad insisted that we get a couple for future use...high school yearbook maybe?! Ha!

Lazy me
After a few days of enjoying the effects of Gustav and not doing much of anything besides a few loads of laundry here and there, I decided I should probably get off the couch and go on a much dreaded scavenger hunt for our baby toys (you know the toys that we put away years ago in an effort to declutter our toy-ridden house.)
We visited with some of our Kansas friends this past weekend who have a daughter that is a mere 23 hours older than Cooper. In our visit I noticed how many toys they had out for her and how much she (and Cooper) liked playing with them. It then dawned on me (the aftereffects of taking care of two kids day in and day out I suppose!) that we too have a plethora of baby toys that our little Cooper just might enjoy.
Much to my surprise in my search for toys, I found a huge plastic tub stocked full of 3-6 month winter baby clothes (we have had 60 degree weather here the last few days and poor Coop has been sporting his summer attire with a blanket wrapped around him...you can imagine how long that lasts...there are reasons we call him, "kicky"!). Moral of that digression? Two kids=mushy brain with a little duh on the side...I guess I sometimes forget that Connor was a baby once too and we did not get rid of any of his stuff (insert duh)!
Anyway, Cooper is in toy heaven and I am a little upset by the fact that I now have toys that cover every square foot of our home. If only I could get my husband to finish our basement, then I could just shut the door and be done with it...you know, out of sight, out of mind!
Cooper's toy heaven...I have never seen so many toys shoved into one's mouth at the same time.
Who knew a 5-month-old could make such a mess?
Oh wait...here is the true culprit. Had I have known that baby toys would entertain a pre-schooler for so long, I would have gotten them out months ago!
Awww...finally worn out after an afternoon of pure bliss!
P.S. Please ignore the red eye...like I said, I have been feeling lazy this week and did not "feel" like taking that extra step to get rid of the red eye on this dreary afternoon. Let's face it, I am giving myself kudos for even attempting a blog!
