Oh the weather out side is frightful,


But the fire is so delightful,


And since we've no place to go,

And snow it did! Brad measured about 6.5-7.5 inches in our backyard! We have anxiously been awaiting the first snow of the season and it was definitely was worth the wait. Connor got to try out his new sled on the small hill in our front yard...in his words it was, "awesoming cool"...ha!

My Little Guy

...for now! I am only posting about his 9-month check-up because I find it to be a little comical. Cooper is weighing in at 19 lbs 2oz. ...which puts him in the 25th percentile. Why do I find this comical?...because Connor at 4 months weighed 20 lbs...I won't even say what he weighed at 9 months, although I do think that is when he started slowing down...yikes! Connor has been off the charts for weight up until recent times where I am happy to report that at his recent 4-year check-up he was down to the 91st percentile!

It is funny to see how genetics work. We honestly don't get too wrapped up in our kids' weights we just find it funny that two brothers can be so completely different!

I guess his thighs are deceiving...I don't care what they say, he is still a chunky monkey!

Connor: But Mommy, my mouth says yum, but my tummy said this stuff is sick!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Well it seems like time has gotten away from me again! We have been quite busy over the past month but things are looking up in terms of having more time to do some blogging! We had a wonderful Christmas starting a couple of days before at the Gillams. Brad's Mom, for the second year in a row, was on reserve over Christmas, meaning she did not know if she was going to have to work until 2:00 the day before. So, we decided not to chance it again this year and celebrated with them a couple of days before. Let's just say Connor had not a Christmas wish that did not get answered at Grandma and Papa Gillams! You name it, he got it: dinosaurs, Pixos, Moon Sand, race track, and puzzles, only to name a few.

Then, Christmas Eve evening, we were off to Kansas. Even though Brad was off from work and I had pretty much everything ready to go, we still didn't manage to leave our house at around 6:00...not sure how that happened. Anyway, we made it just in time for Connor to see on Santa Norad, on the computer, that Santa was crossing into Missouri, meaning he better get some cookies out and get to bed quick!

Looks like the babies liked the Cheerios that Santa left in their stockings!

It was pretty funny because Connor was pretty adamant about writing Santa a note here in Missouri letting him know that he would be in Kansas Christmas morning. He just knew that Santa would not be able to find him! The boys got pretty lucky this year with Santa coming to see them twice. Once at Grandma and Papa JoeJoe's and then again when we got back home...they must have been good this year!
