Connor the photographer?

One day last week while my Mom was here we had been trying to get some photos of Cooper while he was awake (which is not too often). I guess I had sat the camera down on the end table after we were done because I was standing in the kitchen and noticed a flash at my back. Not knowing that Connor even had the faintest idea as to how to even run the camera this is what he photographed...

And then there is this one. When I saw it I about died. Yes, that is Connor, so please feel free to laugh, we all did!

The Answer is...

Sorry it took me so long to get to the big reveal. I have been battling a little illness known as Mastitis....fun fun!

The top one is Connor and the bottom is Cooper. It has been awhile since my last post, but I am happy to report that Cooper is truly starting to look like his own person. Not that looking like Connor is a bad thing...because it is not ;-) but I am glad that he maybe looks a little more like me (I am just thrilled that I was able to sneak a gene or two in!!)

Connor or Cooper, Cooper or Connor?

I mentioned in my last blog how much Connor and Cooper looked alike when they were born...so here is a test...which one is which...you decide!

I know a lot of people think that all babies look alike, so if you are one of those you might just think it is a coincidence...believe me when I say it is not!

He is finally here!

Our baby boy is finally here! Cooper Brooks was born on April 3rd at 6:25 p.m. He weighed in at 8 lbs 5 oz. and 20 in. long. He looked just like his big brother and Daddy after birth but is slowly changing. I think you can see a little bit of Mommy in him but I guess that is purely subjective and may be wishful thinking....hey I would like to get a gene in some day!

We are all doing just great and Connor seems to be adjusting pretty well. Brad and I are just thrilled and are hoping to be able to get some sleep again sometime!

New Carpet!

We are so pumped about our new carpet. It is so nice to get rid of the 90's bluish-green junk that had been haunting us for the last 2 years. It only took the guys about 6 hours to complete which we were really impressed with given the size of our bedroom furniture and the fact that they had to move it all by themselves!

Brad and I often comment how it is so soft we just want to roll around on it it...so we did. Brad got up even more impressed than he started out, as for me, well...once I managed this huge body onto the floor and laid there for about 10 seconds before my back started hurting, getting up did not so much work out as I had pictured...think beached whale! I am sure Connor thought we were nuts!

P.S. Thanks for the phone calls and emails about our induction. It did not go very well...think contractions for 8 hours at 2 1/2 min. apart only to dilate an extra 1/2 cent. So, yes, I am still pregnant!
